Siskiyou Cooperative Frequently Asked Questions CoOp FAQ

How does the CSA work?

Every Thursday afternoon, between early June and the end of October (20 weeks total), your box of organic produce, plus any add-ons you order, is delivered to a convenient pick-up point. If you are away on a delivery day, you can arrange for a friend or neighbor to pick up and/or use your produce. We also provide a weekly recipe page and email newsletter that offer tips on how to prepare your food and provide updates on our farm operations.

Can I visit the farms?

During the growing season, there will be many opportunities for members to come out and visit our farms at work parties and farm days.

What if there is a crop failure

As a cooperative of growers, we are able to provide you with a consistent supply of diverse fruits and vegetables through the course of the season. With several farms growing a wide variety of crops, the chances for major crop failure are minimal. If a crop does fail, your box will be compensated with other produce.
